Top 5: Local Restaurants That Offer Valentine’s Day Meals
This year, Valentine’s Day isn’t just about keeping some form of normalcy for us; it’s about helping out our local businesses and showing them some love. COVID has really done a number on Ottawa’s small business, and we need to do whatever we can to help them make it through another lockdown. Ottawa is a town built on small business and entrepreneurs, and we won’t let that legacy go down without a fight. Small businesses are doing everything they can to stay open, and stay afloat, so in support of that passion and drive we ask that you order your special Valentine’s Day meal from one of these amazing, inspiring and tasty local restaurants (or any local restaurant near you).

These Top 5 suggestions are just the tip of the iceberg on how you can support a local business this Valentine’s Day. Take a peek below for a few bonus suggestions on gift ideas or a little something sweet!
- Dipped Ottawa: Fun, tasty and interactive dessert or gift that can be personalized
- Bar From Afar: Delicious drink kits that bring the bar right to your home, comes with all the ingredients and instructions to make a cocktail like a pro!
- Local Flower Shops: A quick google search for local flower shops is a great way to surprise your loved one while also supporting local florists. A few suggestions are Maison Anthea Florist, and Bloomfields. Google Local florists near me for a local florist in your area.
- Strawberry Blonde: located in Kanata or Westboro has vegan, dairy-free, nut-free, gluten-free treats that are so delicious. So if you have a loved one with food allergies that is a great place to get a Valentine’s Day treat (as a celiac I can say I order a lot of stuff from their online store).
However you choose to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, we hope you choose to support local and help keep Ottawa’s small businesses in business!
