The Ottawa Jail Hostel

If you’re in the spirit of Halloween and you’re ready to face your fears of spending a night in jail, the Ottawa Jail Hostel is for you! Located in a former jail itself (150 years old, in fact), this interactive experience places you involuntary solitary confinement for the night (at your discretion, of course). It also offers guided tours of the property’s old death row and haunted walks through the Parliament & Byward Market.

Saunder’s Farm 

Saunder’s Farm is a popular destination for daytime and night-time Halloween fun. Haunting Season, an event put off by the farm annually, offers family-friendly tours, children’s rides, and spooky mazes to be enjoyed by everyone. 

If you’re looking for more of a thrilling experience, return at night for Frightfest! Suitable for older teens and adults, Frightfest includes a haunted hayride, a Cemetery tour, among other fun and spooky activities.

To top off your evening, Saunder’s Farm offers a night of food and beverages in celebration of the spookiest holiday of the year.

Haunted Walk of Ottawa

Pumpkin Fest 

Whether you’re looking for a fun day-activity or a night full of creeps and spooks, Pumpkin Fest at Proulx Maple & Berry Farm has you covered. Just half an hour outside of downtown Ottawa sits the ultimate Halloween transformation.

On the day, enjoy a Halloween-themed playground equipped with mazes, rides, tours, and other fun Halloween activities. In the night, enjoy the ultimate Halloween experience; Skreamers – A Haunting Experience!

Escape Rooms

No matter where you’re located in Ottawa, you’ll have no trouble finding an escape room to explore. Notably, if you’re near downtown Ottawa, you’ll have the option to choose from Escape Manor, Room Escape Ottawa, or Jigsaw Escape Rooms!
